Notices that do not substantially comply with the requirements above may not be effective.

3.What happens after a valid notice

On receipt of a notice that substantially complies, we may remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the user who provided it, and, in appropriate cases, suspend or terminate access. We may forward the notice (including your contact details) to the user who uploaded the material.

4.Counter-notification

If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to our copyright contact that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address, and telephone number; and
  5. a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., a district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

5.Repeat-infringer policy

In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we will suspend or terminate the access of users who are repeat infringers.

6.Misrepresentations

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. Do not make false claims. This Policy is provided for compliance and does not create any obligation or liability on us beyond what the law requires.
